The Painted Mines will blow you away and put you on Mars! These beautifully painted rocks are so unique to the flat landscape that surrounds them. Garrett and Sara were dressed and ready to conquer this glowing sunrise engagement session. The morning was chilly and crisp but it didn’t stop us from capturing their true love for one another. With only a forty-six-minute drive from Colorado Springs, the Painted Mines is a great destination for a day trip or even a sunny afternoon. There are tons of trails to explore and on a clear day, you can see the tall white windmills on the plains. If you decide to venture out to the park, please remember to leave no trace and help preserve the colorful rocks by staying on the designated trails.
